INTIJIWANA (Aymara - eclipse total de sol) is a poetic account
of experiences in a remote area of the Bolivian Andes (15,000 feet
up!) during the total solar eclipse Nov. 3, 1994, the day after All Souls
Day. Acculturation, Impressions, Intijiwana and Photography and Bananas
are active exploratory parts of this interactive CD-ROM which is Bi-lingual
(Spanish and English). A rare encounter with a Quetuan Indian whose family
reacted to totality by screaming, yelling, beating their dogs to keep them
barking and lighting two bon fires to scare away the demon jaguar who is
eating the sun. Video and stills were shot on location by JoAnn Gillerman
and Rob Terry.
